Wahoo!

Love to see your enthusiasm. It sounds like an ideal place for your family. :)

Welcome (back?) to the Great Midwest! I hope your proximity to Chicago will allow you to take advantage of some of the Talent Search stuff at Northwestern. We are just a touch too far for that right now.
It will be fun to hear about your new adventures.

I was reading your list thinking "ooh, I want to live there,"
when I suddenly realized we have much ,if not all of that here as well, I just don't drag our bums out to do it.:-) Thanks for the little "wake up call", and I'm so happy for you!

That sounds great! My sister lives in Michigan and really likes it there. The only downfall is there relentless winter:0

Thank you all

Shaun - my sister moved there to go to college and after she worked there. Last year my parents moved there. So that is where my family is now. But I grew up in South Florida.

Kate - We have a lot of those things in L.A. too but they are all really spread out and expensive. I am looking forward to being a a smaller community.

O'smom - Do you ever visit your sister? We will be right near the border of Michigan. Maybe we can meet!

A Chicago meet up would be so much fun. Chicago is the closest large city to us and we drive up at least once a year. :) The list sounds divine but are you ready for the cold winters.

I see the tentative title of the earlier list and now the list today. Does this mean you are certain about the move?

Nina - Chicago is totally doable! It would be great to meet you and princess and Farmer Dad.

I am pretty much unprepared for the winters. I grew up in Southern Florida, and spent the last five years in Southern California. We lived one year outside of D.C. and I loved the weather. But Northern Indian is a whole other level of cold!
