some of Z's headshots

Z and I got together with the photographer today to take her headshots. The photographer sent me a few pictures to tide me over until I get all of them sometime next week.

They are all great! You should get them all. They are beautiful.

Ami was photographed a few months ago. We had a bound book made of the various poses, 25 shots.

LOL. I will have a disc with about 80 pictures but I can only choose a few - like two for headshots that I will use.

Do you have Ami's prints online? I would love to see them.

All are super cute -- but from a "marketing" standpoint I like the bottom three best. Her poise and energy really come across.

Oh no. At least you get the disc.

I vote for 3 and 4 or 3 and 5.

3 She reminds me of Jodie Foster in this one, intelligent and mature (except Z is prettier)

4 She looks fiesty and mishievious and older

5 It is sort of the anithesis of 3, She looks sweet and pretty.

I posted a few of Ami's pictures at the zone. The quality is lost because I had to take a picture of them with my digital camera. My camera is also 4 years old.

Thank you Mamita and Shaun! I really really appreciate hearing what you think of the pictures.

I know Z too well and the pictures look different to me than to an outsider- each one is an exact mood. We joke around that Z and I are mind-melded and that I can read her mind all the time.

Like number four is not a real smile and in some other pictures that I didn't post here I can tell she is distracted and a little tired. But I don't think anyone else would notice. Point being, it is hard for me to be unbiased.

I really like numbers 2 and 3.... although they are all adorable! She is so photogenic! I agree with Mamita that 3 reminds me of Jodie Foster. I have to say that 4 kinda bothers me though - she looks SO grown up! Is she like 10 in that picture? lol it just doesn't seem like Z to me... it's more like Z's imaginary older sister. lol

Coming in late with my vote ... I like 1, 2 and 5. One is very intense and shows her maturity and what is undoubtedly her acting range. 2 is a perfect, classic headshot and showcases her gorgeous eyes. And 5 has a wistful quality about it which immediately tugs at the heartstrings. She doesn't look her age in any of them, but 5 has the most innocence and sweetness, and yet that underlying juxtaposition of maturity makes it even more compelling, from a marketing standpoint as Shaun says.

Personally I myself did not so much like 3 and 4. I felt there was not a connection with the camera - I agree with you Cher that the smile in 4 didn't look heartfelt. And the poses were more ordinary.

For some reason, Z reminds me of a young Elijah Wood, I don't know why except perhaps the eyes and the obvious intelligence and the emotional range.
