Last Wednesday Camping in Mammoth

Z in the lake. It was really clean, beautiful, blue and COLD!

The campsite

the little bear that stole some potato chips from a boy fishing on the lake. The bear that came through our camp that night was much bigger.

at the top of the falls looking down into the Twin Lakes

Z sitting on some hexagonal rocks

The Devil's Post Pile, a very interesting natural formation

Cool hollowed out tree on our 4 mile hike to Rainbow Falls

A huge freaky bug that landed on Z. Anyone have any idea what kind of bug it is?

The Falls, Z said it was the most beautiful thing she ever saw

Great pictures! It looks like you had a great time. Though I must confess... the bear and bug photos remind me of why I don't go camping! lol

Beautiful Pictures! You take great pictures but you also have a great camera because you get great close ups.

At Yellowstone they warn and re warn in so many places about the bears. The rangers don't want them to have human food because they get bold and have to kill them. The thought of that made me sad.

Fortunately or unfortunately , we did not see bears on our last trip. We did in Taos a while back, one ran in front of our car, we almost collided, it was a big as the front end of the car.
